1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how ExciteSubmit handles information when you use its IndexNow submission, SEO analysis, and sitemap analysis tools.

2. Information processed when you use the tools

• URLs you submit. URLs entered into the IndexNow tool are processed so they can be sent to the IndexNow service. URLs entered into the SEO Analyzer or Sitemap Analyzer are fetched by ExciteSubmit in order to produce the requested report.
• IndexNow keys. When you provide an IndexNow key, it is included in the submission sent to the official IndexNow endpoint. If you generate a key in your browser, the key is generated locally in your browser before submission.
• IP-derived rate limiting. To reduce abuse, the server converts the requesting IP address into a one-way SHA-256 hash and stores an hourly request counter in a local rate-limit file. The counter is used to enforce usage limits.
• Technical request data. Like most web servers, the hosting environment may create standard access, error, security, or network logs. Those logs are controlled by the hosting/server configuration and may contain technical information such as IP address, request time, requested path, user agent, and status code.

3. How information is used

Information is used to provide the requested tool, protect the service from abuse, troubleshoot errors, maintain security, and operate ExciteSubmit.

4. External services and submitted data

IndexNow submissions are sent to the official IndexNow endpoint. Participating search engines may receive or share valid IndexNow notifications according to the IndexNow protocol. When you ask ExciteSubmit to analyze a URL or sitemap, ExciteSubmit connects to the website you supplied, so that website can receive normal web-request information from the ExciteSubmit server.

5. Data retention

ExciteSubmit does not intentionally maintain a user account database in this version of the service. Local rate-limit records are designed for hourly request limiting. Separate server, security, backup, or hosting logs may have their own retention periods configured by the hosting provider or server administrator.

6. Cookies and advertising

This version of ExciteSubmit contains no AdSense or advertising code. ExciteSubmit itself does not intentionally set advertising or analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy for more information.

7. Security

ExciteSubmit applies technical safeguards including URL validation, restrictions against private/local network targets, rate limiting, response-security headers, request timeouts, and limits on fetched content size. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

ExciteSubmit is a general-purpose website tool and is not specifically directed to children.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the service, infrastructure, or applicable requirements change. The effective date shown above identifies the current version.
